After a move, unpacking can take weeks. Our unpacking service gets your new home in order quickly: we open the boxes, place things where you want them and take away the packing waste.
Unpacking is for people who want to settle into the new home quickly: working couples who must be back at the office the next day, families with small children, and older parents who cannot spend days opening boxes.
What is included
- Opening and unpacking all cartons
- Placing kitchen items, clothes and books
- Refitting of furniture and fixtures
- Removal of cartons and packing waste
- Help with arranging the rooms
How we do it
- Plan the rooms. You tell us where the large furniture goes and which rooms to unpack first.
- Furniture first. Beds, wardrobes and tables are fitted and placed before boxes are opened.
- Kitchen and bedroom. We unpack the kitchen and bedrooms first so the home is usable on the first night.
- Rest of the home. Living room, books, decor and other boxes are unpacked as you guide us.
- Clear the waste. Cartons, bubble wrap and stretch film are collected and taken away.
Looking after your things
Unpacking needs the same care as packing. Glassware and crockery are unwrapped over a table, not the floor. Electronics are placed but not switched on until you are ready. Clothes are placed in the cupboards you choose, and we leave the arrangement details to you.
What it costs
We give every customer a written price before we start. It mostly depends on a few things: number of boxes, furniture fitting, waste removal and booked with move. More boxes need more time and people. Beds and wardrobes to be refitted add time. Clearing large amounts of packing material is included in the plan. Unpacking costs less when booked with the move. Send us photos or a short video and you will usually have a price within 15 minutes during working hours.
A few tips
- Decide where large furniture goes before the team arrives.
- Keep cupboards and shelves clean and empty.
- Unpack the kitchen and bedroom first.
