How we do it
- Survey and quote. We look at your home on a video call or in person and note every large item: beds, wardrobes, sofa, dining table, fridge, washing machine, TV, and the number of cartons you are likely to need. You get a written quote that covers packing, loading, transport and unloading.
- Moving day plan. We fix the date and time, check lift booking and parking with both societies, and confirm the vehicle size. For intercity moves we also confirm the delivery window so you can plan your own travel.
- Packing room by room. The team starts with the kitchen and fragile items, then bedrooms, then the living room. Every box is labelled with the room it belongs to and a short list of what is inside, so unpacking at the new home is simple.
- Loading and transport. Heavy furniture and appliances go in first, cartons are stacked by weight, and fragile boxes go on top. Everything is tied down with ropes and padded so nothing moves on the road.
- Unloading and setup. At the new home the same team unloads, places furniture in the rooms you choose, refits beds and wardrobes, and connects the washing machine if needed. We take away the packing waste before we leave.
Looking after your things
Every household has items that need special care. Fridges travel upright and are packed in foam and stretch film after defrosting. TVs go in a corrugated sheet sleeve with foam corners, or in their original box if you have kept it. Glass tops, mirrors and photo frames are wrapped separately and marked fragile. Crockery is wrapped piece by piece in paper and bubble wrap, and plates are packed standing on their edge, which is much stronger than stacking them flat. Mattresses go in plastic covers so they stay clean, and sofas are wrapped in stretch film and bubble wrap at the corners.
What it costs
We give every customer a written price before we start. It mostly depends on a few things: size of the home, floor and lift, distance and special items. The number of rooms and how full they are decides the vehicle size, the packing material and the team size. Carrying furniture down stairs from the fourth floor takes more people and time than using a service lift. A move within Pune is priced very differently from a move to Bangalore or Delhi, where fuel, tolls and driver days are added. A piano, large glass dining table, heavy safe or a big aquarium needs extra handling and sometimes wooden crating. - A 1 BHK within Pune usually takes half a day to pack and move; a 3 BHK may take a full day.
- Keep cash, jewellery and important documents with you.
- Empty and defrost the fridge a day before moving.
Household Shifting in Pune and beyond
In Pune, household shifting has its own local challenges. Many PCMC societies in Moshi, Ravet and Punawale are newly handed over and have strict move-in timings. Older areas like Camp, Shivajinagar and Pimpri have narrow lanes where a big truck cannot reach the gate, so we use a smaller tempo for the last stretch.
