Most of our Chennai moves are IT professionals transferring to offices along OMR and in Guindy, engineers joining the automobile plants around Sriperumbudur and Oragadam, and Tamil families going back home after years in Pune. Students and young professionals often send luggage first and the rest of the home later. From Pune we send everything from full homes to a few bags to Chennai. We pick up from anywhere in Pune or PCMC, whether you live in Baner, Viman Nagar or Pimpri.
Distance and delivery time
The usual road from Pune to Chennai runs south on NH48 through Satara, Kolhapur, Belagavi and Hubballi to Bangalore, and then east to Chennai. It is a long, mostly four and six-lane highway, but the ghats near Kolhapur and the heavy traffic around Bangalore can add time, which we include in the delivery window. We confirm the exact delivery window with your quote.

Delivering in Chennai
We deliver across Chennai, from apartments in Velachery, Sholinganallur and Perungudi along OMR to Tambaram, Porur, Anna Nagar and the western suburbs. Many large societies in Chennai have fixed move-in hours and ask for a deposit or permission letter, so we confirm these with your society before the truck arrives. At the new place the team unloads, puts furniture in the rooms you choose, fits the beds and wardrobes back together and takes the packing waste away.
Full truck or shared load?
If you are moving a full 2 or 3 BHK, a truck just for your goods is usually best. It is loaded at your home and goes straight to Chennai. If it is a 1 BHK or a few rooms, a shared load costs less: your things travel with another family’s goods going the same way, and delivery takes a little longer. On a trip this long, goods face heat, dust and a lot of handling, so furniture gets bubble wrap plus stretch film, TVs and glass go in corrugated sheets, and mattresses and sofas go in plastic covers.
Only luggage, a car or a bike
Plenty of people moving to Chennai do not need a truck at all. Students and people starting a new job often send five or ten bags and boxes with our luggage service, and pay by the piece. Cars go on a car carrier and are checked with photos at both ends. Bikes and scooters are wrapped in foam and travel upright. Sending a vehicle along with your household goods costs less than booking it on its own.
Weather and timing
Chennai is hot and humid most of the year, and the north-east monsoon brings heavy rain from October to December. During these months we use waterproof covers on every load and avoid unloading in heavy rain, so goods stay dry even if delivery has to wait for a break in the weather.
What it costs
The price for Pune to Chennai mostly comes down to how much you are sending, whether it goes in its own truck or a shared one, and the 1,180 km of fuel and tolls in between. Stairs without a lift at either end add a little, and so does a car or bike. Share your list or a short video and we will send a written price with everything included, so nothing changes on the day.
One small thing to remember after you settle in: if you are staying in Tamil Nadu for long, you may need to move your vehicle registration there.
