Akurdi has its own railway station on the Pune–Lonavala line and is known for large employers and colleges. Students and working professionals make up a big share of moves here.

What shifting in Akurdi is like
Most homes here are student PGs and rented flats, plus older societies and homes. Places like Akurdi railway station, Bajaj Auto plant area, D.Y. Patil campus area, Old Mumbai–Pune Highway and Khandoba Chowk are part of our regular work, so the team is not finding its way on your moving day.
Many Akurdi students and PG residents move just a few boxes and a bike, which our few-item and luggage service handles without booking a full truck.
Families usually move within Akurdi or to Nigdi and Ravet. A move like that is normally packed, moved and set up in one day. If you only have a fridge, a bed and a few cartons, ask for few item shifting. We send a smaller tempo and you pay for that, not for a whole truck.
How a local move usually goes
Say you are shifting a 2 BHK from near Akurdi railway station to Nigdi. Our team of four reaches around 9 in the morning with cartons, bubble wrap and tape. The kitchen and the fragile things are packed first, then the bedrooms, then the living room, and every box gets the room name written on it. Beds and wardrobes are taken apart and the screws go into small labelled bags. By early afternoon the truck is loaded, heavy things at the bottom and fragile boxes on top. At the new place the same people unload, carry each box to its room, fit the furniture back together and take the empty cartons away. Most days like this are over by evening, and you sleep in your own bed in the new home that night.
Sending your things home from Akurdi
At the end of every term we get calls from students in Akurdi. Usually it is a few suitcases, two or three cartons of books, maybe a cycle or a small cooler. You do not need a truck for that. We pick it up from your PG or hostel, pack anything fragile, tag each piece with your name and number, and send it home through our luggage service. You pay by the number of items, and we count them with you at pickup so there is no confusion later.
From Akurdi to another city
When people from Akurdi move out of Pune, the cities we hear most often are Nashik, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mumbai and Nagpur. We pick up from your door here and deliver to your new home, with extra packing for the long road and a message on WhatsApp when the truck leaves and when it reaches. The other way round works too: if you are moving into Akurdi from another city, we can bring your goods here or just do the unloading and setting up.
What it costs
The price changes a lot from one move to another. Taking one room from Akurdi to Nigdi is a few hours of work. A fully furnished 3 BHK on a high floor going to another state is a different job altogether. What matters most is how much you have, which floor you are on and whether there is a lift, and how far it is going.
