How we do it
- Material check. We estimate the number of cartons, rolls of bubble wrap and stretch film needed for your home.
- Fragile first. Glassware, crockery, showpieces and electronics are packed first, piece by piece.
- Room by room. Each room is packed into its own set of cartons, labelled with the room name and contents.
- Furniture wrap. Sofas, tables and wardrobes are wrapped with stretch film and bubble wrap, with corner guards on edges.
- Final check. We check every cupboard, loft and balcony before closing the job.
Looking after your things
We use five-ply cartons for heavy goods and three-ply for clothes, bubble wrap and foam for fragile items, corrugated sheets for TVs and glass, stretch film for furniture and mattresses, and wooden crates on request for very valuable items. Heavy items go into small boxes and light items into large ones, so no box is too heavy to carry safely.
What it costs
We give every customer a written price before we start. It mostly depends on a few things: size of the home, fragile items, wooden crating and packing only or with move. More rooms and more items mean more material and more packers. Large crockery sets, glass items and artwork need more time and material. Custom crates for valuable items add to the cost. Packing alone is priced separately from a full move. Send us photos or a short video and you will usually have a price within 15 minutes during working hours.
